SOMERVILLE MAN ARRESTED ON LOCAL ASSAULT WARRANTS

A Brenham man is in police custody after his arrest by Brenham Police.
Thursday morning the Brenham Police Department’s Crime Reduction Unit conducted surveillance of 26-year-old Preston Bailey of Somerville. Bailey was wanted on two counts of Intoxication Assault Causing Serious Bodily Injury out of the Washington County District Attorney's Office.
With the assistance of the Somerville Police Department, Brenham authorities took Bailey into custody without incident.
Bailey was transported to the Washington County Jail where he was booked in on two counts of Intoxication Assault and an additional traffic warrant out of Brenham Municipal Court.
