BURTON SCHOOL BOARD TO DISCUSS DISTRICT, CAMPUS IMPROVEMENT PLANS
The Burton School Board will review a series of improvement plans at its meeting Monday.
Trustees will consider improvement plans for Burton ISD and the elementary and secondary campuses.
The board will also discuss several items concerning COVID-19. Those include a 10-day staff COVID-19 resolution, Texas’ learning acceleration supports plan, remote conferencing and a return-to-school instruction plan.
Also at Monday’s meeting, trustees will consider:
- A public meeting on the annual School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) rating for Burton ISD.
- Adding an additional early release date to the 2021-22 school calendar to host elementary UIL on December 2nd.
- A district property survey.
- Geotechnical investigation and design recommendations for construction materials testing and inspection services.
- Nominations for the Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors.
- Evaluation of the 2020-21 ESL program.
