BRENHAM PLANNING AND ZONING APPROVES LIBERTY VILLAGE REPLAT REQUEST

The Brenham Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved a residential replat of lots in the Liberty Village subdivision at its meeting Monday.

Following a public hearing, the commission approved the request from Continental Homes of Texas to reconfigure 19 lots on 3.13 acres.  According to city staff, a retaining wall is necessary along the southern portion of the lots.

Staff members say the replat allows the retaining wall to be built within a four-foot-wide HOA easement and newly created common areas.  This in turn allows the entire HOA to bear the cost of the retaining wall, rather than the individual property owners.
