WASHINGTON CO. TAX OFFICE CLOSED DUE TO COVID-19
The Washington County Tax Appraisal Office will be closed for the rest of the year due to COVID-19.
Chief Appraiser Dyann White said in a release this (Thursday) morning that the office on Niebuhr Street will remain closed until January 4, 2022, due to “confirmed COVID infection within the collection department.”
White said December discounts will be honored through the first week of January. Anyone needing a receipt showing taxes paid by the end of 2021 must mail payment with a postmark no later than December 31st.
White apologized for any inconvenience caused, but said the appraisal district “must take these precautions to protect our staff and visitors to our office.”
