Whataburger in Brenham has been selected as one of 16 finalists from 850 stores around the country to compete at the company’s biennial WhataGames.

The event takes place today (Thursday) through Saturday at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston and, according to the company’s website, “tests the skills of Whataburger’s operating partners and their teams as they run a restaurant, serve up bold flavors and offer extraordinary customer service.”

Amy Taylor, operating partner of Whataburger in Brenham, says this is an exciting opportunity for the Brenham team.

Teams will compete in categories consisting of hospitality and the speed and quality of their customer service.  The winning teams will receive medals and cash prizes, including $5,000 for first place, $2,500 for second place and $1,000 for third place.

The Brenham Whataburger is part of the NCG Enterprises LP franchise, which has seven locations, including a restaurant in La Grange that is also competing in this year’s WhataGames.
