BRAZOS VALLEY VETERANS BENEFITS FAIR IN BRYAN SATURDAY

All Brazos Valley veterans, surviving spouses, and caregivers are invited to attend the Veterans Benefits Fair coming up tomorrow (Saturday) in Bryan.

The Fair is being held from 9am-noon at American Legion Post #159 at 101 Waco Street in Bryan.

The focus is going to be on aging veterans that require enhanced care.  For Vietnam veterans, they will discuss new eligibility laws concerning Agent Orange, Burn Pits, Blue Water Navy, and Community Care.

The Veterans are going to receive an update on federal, state, and local benefits such as pensions, compensation, health care, property tax exemptions, Brazos Valley Cares, Meals on Wheels, and Lone Star Legal Aid.

They will also provide on-site resources on Mental Health, Advance Planning, and Caregiver Options.

In addition to that, community businesses are offering information on independent living, assisted living, in-home care, and nursing home care.

Visitors to the Brazos Valley Veterans Benefits Fair can also enjoy a light brunch, and there will be a drawing for door prizes to the first 50 veterans or their family members. Prizes are limited to one per family.
