TEXAS CZECH HERITAGE FESTIVAL AND MUZIKY IN LAGRANGE THIS WEEKEND
The Texas Czech Heritage Festival and Muziky is coming up this weekend in La Grange.
The Czech Heritage Festival, which this year is celebrating the 125th Anniversary of SPJST, is being held Friday and Saturday at the Texas Czech Heritage and Cultural Center located at 250 West Fairgrounds Road.
On Friday night, they are having KJT Octoberfest on the Deck from 4-10pm. Czech Style Chicken and Dumplings are being served, and music will be provided from 6-9:30pm by the Dujka Brothers.
Then, on Saturday morning, they will hold the opening ceremony at 10:30am. Music will be provided in the Hospoda Beer Garden by Czech and Then Some, as well as, the Round Top Brass Band.
Saturday night, it is “The King Lives” as Kraig Parker takes the stage in the Amphitheater for an Elvis Presley tribute show. Admission is $10.
The event is capped off by a Fireworks Finale on Saturday night that is sponsored by HEB.
Other activities include a cornhole tournament, train rides, village tours, and an antique tractor and car show.
There is also music under the SPJST Tent from the Houston Concert Orchestra and Dallas Czech Orchestra.
