WASHINGTON CO. OFFICES CLOSED THURSDAY FOR TEXAS INDEPENDENCE DAY
Washington County will observe Texas Independence Day tomorrow (Thursday).
The day is a county holiday, so all county offices will be closed.
All City of Brenham offices and facilities, however, will be open with regular hours. The city’s next holiday, as well as the county’s, will be Good Friday on April 7th.
Tomorrow marks the 187th anniversary of Texas declaring independence from Mexico in 1836.
The Texas flag will be flown atop the courthouse for the entire month of March.
