TWO PEOPLE ARRESTED ON OUTSTANDING WARRANTS TUESDAY
Two people were arrested Tuesday in separate incidents on outstanding warrants.
Brenham Police report that Tuesday morning at 10:15 Officers were dispatched to a business located in the 200 block of Highway 290 West in reference to a wanted person on the premises. Officers located Leigh Ann Cavner, 39 of Brenham, and she was placed under arrest for outstanding warrant for Fail to Comply with Duties Upon Striking a Fixed Object, stemming from a Hit and Run Crash that occurred in November of last year. Cavner was transported to the Washington County Jail.
Then Tuesday at noon, Officers were dispatched to a business located in the 1500 block of South Market Street in reference to a Panic Alarm. Initial investigation revealed a customer was causing issues and refusing to leave the store. The customer, Shammie Lon Hill, 62 of Brenham, was discovered to have an active warrant issued out of the 21st District Court for Injury Child, Elderly or Disabled person with Intent to Cause Bodily Injury. Hill was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail.
