FOUR TRANSPORTED AFTER HEAD-ON CRASH ON HIGHWAY 290 FRONTAGE ROAD
Four people were hospitalized after a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in Brenham.
A release today (Wednesday) from the Brenham Police Department says officers responded just after 3 p.m. to an accident in the 1400 block of the Highway 290 West north frontage road. Also responding were Washington County EMS ground and air units, along with the Brenham Fire Department.
According to Brenham Police Sergeant Jason Derrick, a 2022 Kia van was traveling westbound on the north frontage road, past the frontage road’s intersection with Prairie Lea Street, when it veered into oncoming traffic, striking an eastbound 2022 Toyota pickup head-on.
The driver and two passengers from the Kia were transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Brenham. The driver of the Toyota was flown by Washington County EMS Air to St. Joseph in Bryan.
The patients, who were not identified, were listed in stable condition when being transported.
