LEXINGTON CLINIC TO CLOSE DOORS AT THE END OF THE YEAR

The St. Joseph Medical Health Group has announced plans to close the St. Joseph and Texas A&M Health Primary Care Clinic in Lexington at the end of this year.

According to St. Joseph Medical Health Group Communications Manager Tracy Bates, the costs associated with operating and providing care have significantly increased.

However, the number of patient volumes and encounters have significantly decreased.

Bates said that St. Joseph’s can no longer financially support the Lexington clinic.

The last day for patients to be seen at the clinic is going to be December 28, and the facility will officially close its doors on December 31.

Patients who wish to remain in the St. Joseph’s and Texas A&M Health Network can find a new provider or location by calling St. Joseph’s Health Physician Finder Line at 979-774-2121, or going to www.st-joseph.org/find-a-doctor.

The two nearest facilities that are part of the group are currently located in Caldwell and College Station.

  1. Please watch Steve Gruber documentary Flat line on Epoch Times about the closing of small town hospitals and its impact across the USA has not happened since the depression. It can be stopped but we need you help.

  2. So why is the cost of health care very high and yet the patient load decreased? I’M sorry this does not pass the smell test. Something fishy here folks. So bottom line country folks have to drive a long way cause Caldwell just a patch you up send you on to the city too hospital! This is in my opinion by design and people don’t seem to care.We have Cooperate Thugs running our hospitals and we the patient’s in the country are the victims. So don’t say it has to do with Medicare or Medicaid cause they get scammed too. It upsets me when people lose their jobs when there is a need but overshadowed by greed..money has no courage. This is so typical of health care. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year might ought to be looking for a job! St.Joe has really went downhill since the Nuns don’t run it anymore.
