COLLEGE STATION RALLIES TO BEAT CUBS 56-49

The Brenham Cubs got off to a good start, but could not hold on to it as the College Station Cougars would rally in the second half and get the victory 56-49.

Brenham actually led 18-10 after the first quarter. College Station outscored Brenham 11-10 in the second quarter, but the Cubs still led 28-21 at halftime.

The second half belonged to the Cougars as they outscored the Cubs 17-11 in the third quarter and 18-10 in the fourth quarter (35-21 in the second half) to get the win.

Issac Powell and JaKobe Mathis led Brenham with 18 points each.

The loss drops the Cubs to 20-4 on the season and 3-2 in district. Next up, weather permitting, they are scheduled to travel to Magnolia on Tuesday for a 6:30pm game.
