BURTON HIGH SCHOOL HIRES MORRIS TO BE NEW HEAD TRACK COACH

Burton has also announced the hiring of Jayla Morris to be the new Head Track Coach, and Assistant Volleyball Coach at the High School.

She will also be the Head Volleyball Coach for the Burton Junior High School.

Morris is a 2019 graduate of Yoakum High School. She ran track, cross country, and pole vault at East Texas Baptist University.

Morris later transferred to Texas Tech, where she studied Agricultural Education, and graduated this past May.

Morris, who has family in Washington County and did her student teaching at Brenham ISD, said she fell in love with the area, and is looking forward to sharing her passion for sports with her students in Burton.
