BRENHAM ELKS LODGE HOSTING ANNUAL BBQ COOK-OFF OCT. 4-5
The Brenham Elks Lodge #979 is getting ready for its annual Randy Jacob BBQ Cook-off.
The Lodge, located at 400 East Germania Street, will host the cook-off on Friday and Saturday, October 4th and 5th.
The event begins with the margarita and chef’s choice contests on Friday, followed on Saturday by the Bloody Mary, beans, chicken and rib contests.
Entry into all categories is $250, but individual entry is $50 for margaritas, chef’s choice, Bloody Marys and beans and $75 for chicken and ribs.
A $2,000 prize will go to the winner of the rib shootout, and all other categories will receive prizes for the first, second and third place winners. Participants must enter all categories to be eligible for the rib shootout prize.
