Rhett Reichardt (Austin County Fair)

The 97th annual Austin County Fair in Bellville is in the books, and two new records were set at this year’s Youth Livestock Auction Sale.

The Grand Champion pen of heifers, which was shown by Rhett Reichardt, was sold to the VP Ranch for $64,000.

The total broke the previous record of $58,000 that was set in 2021.

Emersyn Eckelberg (Austin County Fair)

The Reserve Grand Champion steer, which was shown by Emersyn Eckelberg, was sold to Triangle Insulation for $29,820.

The old record was $17,160 that was set back in 2019.

That figure does not include add-on, which is being accepted until October 31.
