Guests enjoyed a return to the 1920s with a night of music by the Texas Gypsies, period cocktails, casino gaming, live and silent auctions and other activities in support of the museum.  Organizers say the event raised over $125,000.

The fundraising gala was co-chaired by Robert Flanagan and Brad Tegeler.  Tegeler thanks the community for helping making this event an “amazing success” and says preparations are already underway to make this new signature event “bigger and bolder next year.”

Attendees were able to win auction items like floor tickets to the Houston Rockets, a stay in Costa Rica, behind-the-scenes Alamo tours, flying lessons, and a Galveston getaway weekend.

The museum also recognized members of the Board of Directors who will be retiring at the end of 2024.  Gloria Nix, Tiffany McMordie-Morisak, Cayte Neil, Jan Carroll and Lori Hasskarl were presented with the Brenham Heritage Museum Award of Service.

Proceeds from the gala will be used to complete the buildout of new museum exhibits and fund current operations.  The museum’s mission is to foster the history, art, culture and humanities of the Brenham and Washington County region.

The museum is a 501(c)(3) organization, so contributions are tax-deductible.  To learn more, visit www.brenhamheritagemuseum.org.
