APPLICATIONS OPEN FOR GOVERNMENT-IN-ACTION YOUTH TOUR
Local high school students are encouraged to apply for an all-expenses-paid trip to explore the nation’s capital.
Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative and San Bernard Electric Cooperative are offering students in their service areas the opportunity to register for the Government-in-Action Youth Tour, taking place June 15-23, 2025.
Students who are selected for the tour will be able to visit Washington, D.C. to see monuments, museums and historical sites while also meeting members of Congress, hearing inspirational speakers and interacting with other Youth Tour participants from across the country.
To be eligible, students must be in the 11th or 12th grade and live in the home of a parent or legal guardian who is currently a member of Bluebonnet or San Bernard and whose primary residence is in that co-op’s service territory.
Applications are due by January 17, 2025. They can be submitted at www.bluebonnet.coop or www.sbec.org.
