COLUMBUS WINS CLASS 3A DIVISION I FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

Offensive MVP - Adam Schobel

The Columbus Cardinals are the Class 3A Division I State Football Champions after defeating the Malakoff Tigers 48-14 last (Thursday) night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

QB Adam Schobel, who was the Offensive MVP, was 15 of 21 passing for 261 yards and two touchdowns. RB Grayson Rigdon had 18 carries for 119 yards and four touchdowns.

Defensive MVP - John Schobel

DE John Schobel, who had ten tackles and three sacks, was named as the game’s Defensive MVP.

It is the first State Football Championship in school history.

The Cardinals finish the season with a record of 15-1.
