BRENHAM FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDS TO FOUR CALLS ON FRIDAY

  

The Brenham Fire Department responded to four calls on Friday.

The first call, which came in just after 7:30am, was a fire alarm sounding at 1700 East Stone Street. Brenham Firefighters arrived on the scene and discovered some burnt food that had set the alarm off. The alarm was reset and BFD units returned to service.

The next call was a reported crash in the 2600 Block of Schulte Boulevard at 2:45pm. BFD personnel reached the location and found that a vehicle had crashed into the side of a building, and was stuck inside of it. First, the patient was removed from the vehicle, and then firefighters stood by until the vehicle was also removed from the building.

A short time later, Brenham Firefighters were summoned to the scene of a crash in the 2400 Block of Highway 290 West that happened around 4pm. BFD personnel provided traffic control, and later returned to service once the vehicles were removed from the roadway.

The final call, which came in just before 10pm, was for another traffic crash in the 300 Block of Highway 290 West. BFD units provided traffic control, while the vehicles were removed from the roadway.
