FAYETTE CO. INVESTIGATORS RECOVER SKID STEER STOLEN OUT OF HARRIS CO.
A skid steer reported stolen out of the Houston area was located on Monday in Fayette County.
According to Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek, investigators received information on Monday about a skid steer that had been stolen from a job site in Tomball and was possibly in Fayette County, in the area of Prairie Valley Road near West Point.
The sheriff’s office located and identified the stolen skid steer, which had been parked in the back of a local property behind dead trees in what authorities believe was an attempt to conceal it.
The property owner denied knowledge of the skid steer’s presence on the property and complied with investigators retrieving it from the premises.
Information was provided to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for their investigation and to make arrangements for the owner to retrieve the equipment.
