BRENHAM CUBS CLINCH SHARE OF DISTRICT TITLE WITH WIN OVER RUDDER
The Brenham Cub Basketball Team clinched at least a share of the district championship last (Friday) night with a 64-56 victory over Bryan Rudder.
Issac Powell led Brenham with 17 points and seven rebounds. Jakobe Mathis added 16 points and seven rebounds. Elijah Ferguson finished with 13 points, five rebounds, and five assists.
The Cubs are 23-8 overall and 9-1 in district.
They can clinch the championship outright on Tuesday night when they host Lake Creek at the Brenham High School Gym. The game tips off at 6:30pm, and we’ll have it right here on KWHI beginning with the pregame at 6:15pm.
Elsewhere in District 17-5A: Lake Creek beat College Station 70-54, and A&M Consolidated defeated Montgomery 68-57, while Huntsville had a bye.
