BRENHAM PD MAKES ARRESTS FOR VEHICLE BURGLARY, FAILURE TO APPEAR WARRANT
Two Brenham men were arrested on Monday, one on an out-of-county warrant and another for alleged burglary.
At 2:30 p.m., Brenham police officers responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 East in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, the subject was identified as 50-year-old David Ruiz Rojas. Rojas showed to have an active felony warrant out of Willacy County for Failure to Appear – Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle. Rojas was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
At 10:15 p.m., Officer Garrett Downs was dispatched to the 800 block of Mangrum Street for a suspicious person. Police say their investigation revealed that a subject, identified as 26-year-old Matthew Todd, allegedly broke into a vehicle and fled from the scene. Officers located Todd on East Commerce Street and placed him into custody. Todd was transported to the Washington County Jail, where he was booked in for Burglary of a Vehicle.
