BRENHAM PD ARRESTS ONE FOR POSSESSION OF STOLEN NARCOTICS, ANOTHER FOR DWI
Brenham police report two arrests between Wednesday morning and early this (Thursday) morning.
Around 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to the 300 block of North Austin Parkway in reference to a theft. After investigation, police say 42-year-old Casey Jae Steakley of Carmine was in possession of stolen narcotics. Steakley was placed into custody and transported to the Washington County Jail, where she was booked in for Fraudulent Possession of a Controlled Substance/Prescription Schedule III/IV.
A few minutes after 1:15 a.m., today, Officer Brayten Rolling was patrolling the area of Burleson Street and Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway when he observed a vehicle driving without headlights. Officer Rolling initiated a traffic stop, and the vehicle continued to Fairview Street. The driver was identified as 30-year-old Richard David Lewis Lacy of Brenham. Standardized field sobriety tests were conducted, and Lacy was placed into custody for Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container and transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
