A Bedias man pled guilty to Child Pornography charges during Monday’s session of the Grimes County District Court.

41-year-old Jason Glenn Elliott was charged with five counts of Possession of Child Pornography (Video). Each count is a first-degree felony.

According to a press release from District Attorney Andria Bender, the case began on July 18, 2024.

D.A. Investigator Blake Baldobino, who is also a member of the Southern Texas Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, was assigned a cyber-tip about a suspect that had been downloading images of child pornography.

Through his investigation and research into the case, he was able to identify Elliott as the suspect.

Baldobino executed multiple search warrants, which led to the recovery of both digital images and videos of child pornography.

During an interview, Elliott confessed to possession of the materials.

He pleaded guilty to five counts of Possession of Child Pornography (video) before 12th District Court Judge David Moorman.

Elliott was sentenced to 25 years in prison for each count. Upon his release from prison, he must also register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.
