BRENHAM POLICE MAKE ARRESTS ON CHARGES INCLUDING CRIMINAL TRESPASS, EVASION
Brenham police arrested two people on Thursday, one for criminal trespass and another on multiple charges after a pursuit.
Just past 11 a.m., officers responded to the 200 block of Highway 290 East in reference to trespassing. Investigation revealed that a subject, identified as 34-year-old Thaddius Jamal Elliott of Navasota, was found to have an active Criminal Trespass warning for the premises. Elliott was placed into custody for Criminal Trespass and transported to the Washington County Jail without incident.
Around 9:30 p.m., Officer Danielle Corrado attempted to initiate a traffic stop near the intersection of South Market Street and East Tom Green Street for faulty equipment. Police say the driver, later identified as 21-year-old Broderick Sanders of Giddings, failed to yield to officers and evaded, leading them to a dead-end road where he ultimately gave up. Police also say he attempted to discard narcotics during the pursuit. Sanders was taken into custody and charged with Evading Arrest/Detention with a Vehicle, Possession of Marijuana 4oz. – 5lbs, and Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence with Intent to Impair.
