FIVE ARRESTED BY BRENHAM POLICE ON CHARGES INCLUDING DWI, POSSESSING CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE, WARRANT FOR FALSE REPORT TO POLICE
Brenham police arrested five people between Friday and early this (Monday) morning.
At 4:45 p.m. Friday, officers responded to the 400 block of Glenn Drive for a disturbance. After investigation, 56-year-old Eric Paul Truelson of Brenham was arrested for Public Intoxication and transported to the Washington County Jail.
Shortly after 9:15 p.m., police officers and Washington County Sheriff’s deputies conducted a warrant service in the 1000 block of Petty Street. Their investigation revealed that a subject, identified as 39-year-old Christopher Elliott Sr. of Brenham, showed to have an active warrant out of Washington County for False Report to a Peace Officer. Elliott was placed into custody and booked in at the Washington County Jail.
Close to 11:45 a.m. Saturday, Officer Ramon Torres conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Highway 290 East. Police say that 39-year-old Timothy Dwayne Merriweather Jr. of Brenham had a warrant out of Brenham Municipal Court for No Driver’s License. Merriweather was transported to the Washington County Jail and booked in for his warrant without incident.
Around 8:15 p.m., Officer Bryan Morong stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation near the 2200 block of Highway 290 West. After investigation, the driver, 18-year-old Adrian Delacruz of Pflugerville, was arrested and charged with Possession of Marijuana Under 2oz. and Possession of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 2, 1-4 Grams. He was taken to the Washington County Jail.
Just before 12:30 a.m. today, Sergeant Jose Perez conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was called into dispatch as reckless driving. Following a probable cause search, police took the driver, 25-year-old Kelvin Levi Jr. of Washington, into custody for Driving While Intoxicated and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Levi was transported to the Washington County Jail for booking.
