ACCUSED SEX OFFENDER ARRESTED IN COLORADO COUNTY

  

The Austin County Regional Special Response Team conducted an operation in Colorado County on Friday that led to the arrest of an accused sex offender.

The operation was the result of an investigation led by the Austin County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigations Unit, which specializes in fugitive apprehension.

The operation was conducted at a residence in Garwood that resulted in the arrest of 62-year-old Larry Haynes.

Haynes was taken into custody on two active felony warrants for Indecency with a Child / Sexual Contact. Both warrants were filed out of Fort Bend County.

Following his arrest, Haynes was transported and booked into the Colorado County Jail in Columbus without incident.

The Colorado County Sheriff’s Office also participated in the operation.
