BURTON FOOTBALL STAYS UNBEATEN WITH A 28-0 WIN OVER BARTLETT
After having an extra week off due McDade's forfeit last week, the Burton Panthers looked like they had not lost a step as they shutout Bartlett 28-0 last (Friday) night.
The Panthers got on the board twice in the first quarter. Kayden Patterson reached the end zone on a 60-yard touchdown run, and then later scored again on a 13-yard run. Rueben Rodriguez added the extra points to cap off both drives.
The second quarter was scoreless, and so Burton went into the locker room at halftime with a 14-0 lead.
The Panthers found the end zone again in the third quarter. Patterson scored his third touchdown of the night on a one-yard run. Rodriguez added the PAT to make it 21-0.
Rodriguez would then put the exclamation point on the game with a 36-yard touchdown and the extra point to increase the Burton lead to 28-0.
Neither team scored during the fourth quarter so that ended up being the final total.
The Panthers now go to 5-0 overall and 2-0 in district.
Next week, they will be on the road to face Somerville. Kickoff is scheduled for 7pm.
