BELLVILLE TO HOST SMALL TOWN CHRISTMAS DEC. 5-7
Bellville is preparing for its 43rd Annual Small Town Christmas celebration.
Holiday festivities begin on Friday, December 5th and continue through Sunday, December 7th.
The event gets underway on Friday at 6 p.m. with the courthouse tree lighting and the lighted parade through downtown Bellville.
At 6:30 p.m., the Mini-Park opens for activities including a real snow slide, an inflated activity area, petting zoo, mechanical bulls, and shopping with nonprofit food and drink vendors at the Jim Bishop Pavilion.
Santa will be available for photos at 7:30 p.m. in the Mini-Park gazebo. The Red Bulls will perform for a street dance at 8 p.m.
Saturday will have Breakfast with Santa at Newman’s Bakery from 8 to 11 a.m. More holiday shopping will follow from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the Market Day on the Square and the Farmer’s Market under the Jim Bishop Pavilion. There will also be food trucks, music and performances.
The St. John Lutheran Church Retreat Center, located at 4740 Highway 36 North, will host a drive-thru living nativity on Saturday and Sunday. The nativity will be open from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. each day.
