CUBETTE BASKETBALL FINISHES SECOND AT NAVASOTA LADY RATTLER SHOOTOUT

The Brenham Cubette Basketball Team finished out the Navasota Lady Rattler Shootout on Saturday with two more wins.

In the first game of the day, the Cubettes beat Stafford 57-23. Sandra Prieto had 13 points and six rebounds. Janiyah Mathis finished with 12 points, six rebounds, five steals., and two assists.

Then, Brenham wrapped up the Shootout with a 56-39 win over Waller. Bre'Ashia Broaden led Brenham with 11 points, and four rebounds. Abygale Adams added 10 points, five rebounds, six assists, and five steals. Prieto chipped in with 10 points and eight rebounds.

The Cubettes went 5-1 in the tournament, which was good for second place overall.

Brenham is now 15-3 on the season. Next up, they will open district play against College Station tomorrow (Tuesday) at 6:30pm at the Brenham High School.
