MULTI-AGENCY OPERATION LEADS TO ARREST OF NAVASOTA MAN ON DRUG CHARGES, WARRANTS
A Navasota man faces multiple charges following a warrant operation last week where authorities reported finding illegal narcotics.
The Navasota Police Department today (Tuesday) announced the arrest of 36-year-old Antron Harris in connection to two search warrants executed Friday morning in the 1800 and 1900 blocks of Courtney Road. The department said the residences had been under investigation as suspected narcotics distribution locations.
Police, in partnership with the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office and Texas Department of Public Safety, reported seizing methamphetamine, cocaine, marijuana and a firearm.
Harris was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance Penalty Group 1, 4-200 Grams and Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
Additionally, Harris was arrested for several warrants, including Collision Involving Injury and Failure to Appear/Bail Jumping out of Lee County; Burglary of a Habitation, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Tampering with Evidence out of Brazos County; and a parole warrant out of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice Pardons and Paroles Division.
The department said it remains committed to identifying and disrupting illegal narcotics activity within the community, and it thanked the Grimes County Sheriff’s Office and DPS for their assistance. It added that investigation is ongoing, and further information may be released as it becomes available.
