The Blinn Buccaneer Soccer Teams are both going to be starting the season nationally ranked. The United Soccer Coaches have released their preseason poll.

According to their website, "Founded in 1941 and based in Kansas City, Missouri, United Soccer Coaches has grown into the world’s largest soccer coaches’ organization that serves members at every level of the game. United Soccer Coaches works every day to inspire coaches and ignite their passion for the game so that they pass it on to players and others in the soccer community."

The Blinn Buccaneer Men will come into the season ranked at #7 in the country. The Bucs had an incredible season last year going 14-5-1, and 10-2 in district. They also made it to the Men's Division I Soccer National Championship Tournament.

The Blinn Men will take part in their first scrimmage of the season on the road tonight (Tuesday) at 7pm against Texas A&M San Antonio. They are then scheduled to host North American on Friday at 7pm at Hohlt Park.

Their season opener is going to be next Friday, August 21, at 7:15pm, at Southwest Christian in Terrel, Texas.

The Buccaneer Women will be traveling to Hill College on Thursday afternoon for a scrimmage against Hill College at 2pm. They will then host Houstonians FC in another scrimmage on Saturday at 11am at Rankin Field at Hohlt Park.

They will open their season against Butler Community College (Kansas) on Thursday, August 20, at 8pm at Navarro College in Corsicana.
