BLUE BELL EMPLOYEES BRING HOLIDAY JOY TO “SMART” PROGRAM AND FAITH MISSION
Blue Bell employees decided to give needy families in the community a Merry Christmas.
Blue Bell has experienced the most difficult year in its 100+ year history, but under the leadership of Melissa Glenewinkel the employees decide to do something special for families in our community. The employees of Blue Bell collect over 100 toys and presented them to the Faith Mission and Brenham Independent School District’s SMART Program (Science Math Art Reading Technology program) at their 9th Annual Christmas Party.
Randy Wells of Faith Mission thanked those involved with putting together this party for the kids.
The twice a week SMART provides academic and enrichment services to elementary and middle school students within BISD. The forty children, of which over 80% are from Alton Elementary, maintain A/B grade point averages with “no students failing.”
The core staff include: Qwynetta Foster-Faith Mission SMART Coordinator, Susan Prichard-BISD McKinney-Vento Liason, Misti Davis – Certified Teacher Krause Elementary, Wynne Winklemann- Certified Teacher Brenham Elementary, and Alma Garcia- Parent Empowerment Program Coordinator.
