ATWOOD KENJURA HOSPITALIZED IN AUSTIN
A well-known Brenham businessman is being treated at an Austin hospital after suffering cardiac arrest yesterday (Sunday) morning.
Atwood Kenjura, owner of Kenjura Pharmacy in Brenham, is undergoing tests today (Monday) to determine why his heart stopped Sunday morning in Austin. Kenjura was preparing to watch his daughter run in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure near downtown Austin when he collapsed shortly before 8 a.m. Sunday. CPR was performed immediately until emergency workers arrived, and Kenjura was transported to an Austin hospital. His heartbeat was restored to a normal rhythm, and he reportedly had good vital signs and was resting comfortably. Kenjura has served as past president of the Blinn College Board of Trustees, and of the local Scott & White Hospital Board.
