EARLY VOTING SEES OVER 7,500 PEOPLE CAST BALLOTS

  

Early voting in Washington County continues to follow a normal pace, with 621 people casting ballots on Tuesday.

The total number of people who have voted early now totals 7,586.

Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel says they have been getting a lot of questions pertaining to whether or not someone can change their vote once it has been cast.

Rothermel says in the state of Texas an individual cannot change their vote once it has been cast. She went on to say that she cannot comment if it is possible in other states, but she knows it is not allowed by law in Texas.

Early voting continues this week through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.
