BRENHAM MAN SENTENCED TO TEN YEARS FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT
A Brenham man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on a Sexual Assault charge.
47-year old Thomas Marion Murphy of Brenham was arrested back in August by Brenham Police at a residence in the Eleanor St.
Murphy was sentenced to 10 years on each of two charges: Sexual Assault – a First Degree Felony; and Burglary of a Habitation – a Second Degree Felony for an arrest back in July. The two sentences will run concurrently.
Murphy was also ordered to register as a sex offender after completion of his sentence.
Also in 21st District Court, 39-year old Freddie Mitchell Hampton Jr. of Somerville received a seven-year sentence on two charges stemming from his arrest in March.
During a traffic stop, Brenham Police discovered methamphetamines and a hand gun in Hampton’s vehicle.
Hampton pleaded guilty to charges of Unlawful Possession of a Weapon by a Felon and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
26-year old Stephanie Lee Triplett had her 2014 probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance revoked. She was sentenced to four years in prison and fined $750.
46-year old Kenny Ray Brumley of Brenham was sentenced to seven months in jail for Theft with two previous convictions.
47-year old Christine Mathis Colvin of Burton was placed on six years’ probation for Arson. Colvin was also to perform 400 hours of community service and undergo anger management.
20-year old Deionte Stegent of Brenham was placed on six years’ probation and fined $500 for Burglary of a Habitation. Stegent was also ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.
42-year old Patrick Shine of Hockley received five years’ probation on three separate charges: Theft of a Firearm and two counts of Burglary of a Buliding. Shine will also have to perform 100 hours of community service.
And, 27-year old Ariana Fredenburg of Carmine was placed on four years’ probation and fined $1500 for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Frednburg must also perform 120 hours of community service.
