For the second time this year, someone has attempted to break into the ATM at Industry State Bank.  The Austin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the attempted burglary of an ATM machine at Industry State Bank in the early morning hours of August 12.

About 2:30 a.m. last Wednesday, two men tried to pry open the ATM machine at the bank in Industry.  Their efforts were unsuccessful and no money was stolen. Surveillance video shows two young black males.  One was wearing a white tank top, basketball shorts and calf high socks with no shoes.  The other suspect wore a black hoodie and black pants and both criminals had face masks.

Officers believe the suspects were driving a red, four door car and may have parked near the Austin County Farmers Mutual building.  The previous attempt to break into the ATM occurred in May of this year.  In that attempt, two male subjects drove to the scene in a silver and tan Ford F-250 single cab pickup.  They both wore dark hoodies and masks.  Austin County Sheriff Jack Brandes said deputies are seeking videos from surveillance cameras at other homes and businesses.  Anyone with information should call Crimestoppers at 979.865.2949.
