Cub Spotlight

We are incredibly proud to celebrate Brenham’s own Seaman Yazmine Gaines, who graduated as the top Sailor from Recruit Training Command and earned the prestigious Military Excellence Award on November 20, 2025.

At just 18 years old, Yazmine joined the Navy with a vision for independence, education, and purpose – and she has already achieved something extraordinary. The MEA is awarded to the recruit who best exemplifies enthusiasm, devotion to duty, military bearing, and teamwork, placing her among the very best of today’s newest Sailors.

Our Brenham ISD Cubs showed up strong at Saturday’s competition at Time to Spare in Conroe — and they came home with the BLING!

Congratulations to our Freshman and Junior Cubette Varsity teams for earning second place at the Navasota Tournament. Your hard work, teamwork, and dedication continue to make us proud.
