COMEDY AND MAGIC SHOW COMING TO BARNHILL CENTER
The Comedy and Magic of Harry Maurer will come to the stage of The Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre on September 28th at 7pm.
The evening will start with a Pre-Show Party at 5:30pm when Maurer will mingle and perform magic just inches away from attendees. The $25 Pre-Show Party admission is limited to a small group and includes one beverage.
“This is a chance for guests to meet Harry Maurer and witness his magic up-close,” said Sharon Brass, booking representative for The Barnhill Center. “The experience is amazing.
“Then onstage, Harry will ‘wow’ the larger audience starting at 7:00pm. His hilarious banter is just as entertaining as his magic!
“Harry is more than masterful. He is an extremely skilled, fun and proficient entertainer which you can tell the moment he steps onto the stage.”
Maurer has entertained U.S. presidents, celebrities and even international royalty with his fun and interactive magical style.
“What sets my shows apart from other magicians is my personality and the way that I interact with audience members,” said Maurer. “I am not the typical lofty magician. I have as much fun as my audiences, in a very genuine way. People can easily see that.”
At six years old, Maurer was already entertaining with his comedy and magic. He studied theater production at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University while performing in nightclubs in New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
After many shows in Las Vegas, Las Vegas Entertainment Today described his shows best when they said: “His easy manner with the audience combined with a magical skill second to none, is what the audience remembers after the curtain goes down.”
Most of Maurer’s career has been spent traveling across the world to perform in cruise ships, casinos, comedy clubs and large events, with up to 13 shows per week.
At the height of his career, comedy legend Joey Bishop (from Sinatra’s original “Rat Pack”) invited Maurer to join him on a five-month tour of the U.S. This was followed by a four-month engagement in Atlantic City where the hit show sold-out its nearly 2,000 seats each day.
Due to limited seating, the Harry Maurer show is expected to quickly sell out.
The new SIMON SELECT program offers patrons an opportunity to select their desired seats for a full week before general public sales begin. For this advantage, a limited number of patrons can purchase SIMON SELECT tickets with an additional $15 surcharge per seat.
The SIMON SELECT pre-sale tickets for Harry Maurer will be available for one week, beginning at 10:00 am on Monday, August 19th.
Harry Maurer tickets, at regular published prices, will go on sale to the public at 10:00 am on Monday, August 26th.
Doors will open to all guests at 6:00 pm and the show will start at 7:00 pm.
