“COOL NIGHTS, HOT TUNES” ROCKS DOWNTOWN BRENHAM
Downtown Brenham was packed Saturday night, as crowds came from all over to enjoy the tunes of Suede for the first ever “Cool Nights, Hot Tunes”.
Hundreds gathered at the corner of Alamo and Baylor Streets to hear the popular Austin band play hits from today and yesterday. The group was joined onstage by KTEX-106’s Cactus Ken Murray, who emceed the concert.
The event certainly lived up to its name, as many on the courthouse square had extra layers of clothing due to the colder temperatures and gusty winds.
The concert, put on by Main Street Brenham, was sponsored by J&A Roofing, Hermann Furniture, Brenham National Bank, and Texas Arts and Music Festival.
Suede will return this summer for the second weekend of “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes” on July 13th.
