CUBETTES END SEASON WITH LOSS TO WALLER-CELEBRATE SENIORS
The Brenham Cubettes’ softball season came to an end, Thursday.
The Cubettes (18-11/6-8) fell to playoff-bound Waller, 4-0 at Alumni Field.
The night honored the Cubettes’ seven members of the senior class—many of whom have been three- and four-year starters.
Waller took the early lead on a two-run double by winning pitcher Erna Carlin. Carlin would later blast a solo home run.
Brenham hitters managed just two hits of Carlin—back-to-back singles in the sixth inning by sisters Kramer and McGee Eschete.
Prior to the game the Class of 2019 was honored, including: Savannah Bartay, McGee Eschete, Amanda Little, Kat Marshall, Caroline Schroeder, Molly Voskamp, and Kaitlin Whitehead, along with manager Camryn Finke.
Waller advances on to the playoffs along with, College Station, Magnolia and A&M Consolidated.
