Meals with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce will be delivered to homebound residents in Washington County the afternoon of Christmas Day.

JB and Jamie Royer, owners of Royers Café, say they know Christmas can be a hard time for a lot of people, so they wanted to partner with good people in the community to provide a meal and some holiday cheer.

Meals will be delivered to those that are homebound, and are at least 60 years old or legally disabled.

Requests for homebound meals must be submitted by next Thursday, December 19th, by calling Faith Mission at 979-830-1488.

Faith Mission is also asking for volunteers to deliver the meals in and around Brenham.  The organization asks for two or more people on a meal delivery team.  Volunteers can sign up online at www.faithmission.us.

  1. So proud of my grandchildren and their servant hearts. I would more than qualify for one of their meals if I lived closer. To leave their comfortable homes and do this on Christmas Day proves that there are still good people in this old world! Thanks to all the volunteers as well.
