SECOND WEEK OF EARLY VOTING BEGINS MONDAY; WEEKEND VOTING BRINGS TOTALS OVER 1,400

  

The second week of early voting in the March primary elections gets underway today (Monday).

According to Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel, the first week drew 1,405 in-person early voters—1,166 Republican voters and 239 Democratic voters.

Saturday saw 164 early voters—141 Republicans and 23 Democrats—while Sunday had 116 voters—101 Republicans and 15 Democrats.  The weekend as a whole drew 280 early voters—242 Republicans and 38 Democrats.

Early voting continues this week, with extended hours today and tomorrow (Tuesday) to 7 p.m.

Friday is the final day of early voting, and March 3rd is the day of the primary elections.
