WASHINGTON CO. STAYS ALIVE AT STATE TOURNAMENT

The Washington County Minor Boys got back on the winning track with a 12-2 victory over Shiner at the Texas East State Little League Tournament.

The game was tied 2-2 when WC exploded for ten runs in the third inning. They sent 15 batters to the plate in that inning. WC got RBI singles from Caleb Maurer, Evan Curtis, Jase Mueller, and Ryder Biggs. They also took advantage of some bases loaded walks as well.

Evan Curtis and Hunter Myers combined to pitch four innings allowing only two unearned runs on two hits while issuing only one walk and striking out three.

Washington County plays another elimination game tonight against either West End.
