1 ARRESTED; 1 AT LARGE AFTER BRIEF POLICE CHASE

  

An Austin-area man is in custody and another person is at large after a brief police chase early Tuesday morning.

Just after 12:30 a.m., Capt. Trey Gully was patrolling the 2100 block of HIghway 290 West, when he observed a suspicious vehicle leaving a closed business.

The vehicle then fled the scene and eventually stopped in the 4000 block of Highway 290 West.

The vehicle then sped off and a police pursuit began. The driver then stopped the vehicle and fled on foot.

Officers apprehended the passenger, 22-year old Tayler Alan Nuttal of Round Rock, who was placed in custody.

Nuttal is charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Marijuana.

The driver has been positively identified and warrants are being sought for his arrest.
