BISD NAMES ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL, TEACHER OF YEAR

  

A new assistant principal was named at last (Monday) night’s Board of Trustees meeting at Brenham High School.

Robert Reyes was hired as the assistant principal of Brenham Junior High School, in a unanimous Board vote.  Reyes has 12 years of administrator experience, as well as 25 years as a teacher.  He previously worked in Burton ISD, with time spent in Cameron, Caldwell, and Snook.  He received a Bachelor’s from Southwest Texas State and a Master’s from Texas A&M.

The Board also announced Madison Ruiz as Brenham ISD’s Teacher of the Year.  Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson congratulated Ruiz, saying she was “born to teach.”

Presentation of the You Make a Difference Award was delayed to next month, as the recipient was not present to receive the award.
