JUDGES NEEDED FOR SPEECH AND DEBATE TOURNAMENT

Over 300 students from Texas and Oklahoma high schools will be competing in an All Region Speech and Debate Tournament at Blinn College next month.

The National Christian Forensics and Communications Association All-Region Speech and Debate tournament is set for January 4th – 6th at Blinn College in Brenham.  The students will compete in both Lincoln Douglas and Team Policy debate, as well as various prepared and limited preparation speech events.

Over 200 community volunteers are needed throughout the three day event to evaluate students.  NCFCA uses judges from all walks of life to provide valuable feedback for student improvement, growth and encouragement.  No previous experience in speech or debate is necessary to be a judge.  Judging each round is a three hour commitment, and volunteers may judge as little as one or as many as several rounds over the three days.

For more information about the All-Region Speech and Debate tournament, and to sign up as a volunteer judge, visit www.NCFCAJudges.com.  You can register online, or you may contact Kimberly Wieberg for over the phone registration at 281-773-6054.
