CO. COMMISSIONERS APPROVE LCRA LEASE AGREEMENTS

The Washington County Commissioners Court approved two lease agreements with the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA)  during their meeting today (Tuesday).

The commissioners approved a lease agreement with LCRA for use of one of its communications towers.  Precinct 4 Commissioner Joy Fuchs says it is an extension of a contract already in place:

The commissioners also approved a lease agreement with LCRA for a building near the Washington tower which stores equipment.

In other business, the commissioners approved a resolution approving the submission of a grant application by the sheriff’s office to the Office of the Governor’s Criminal Justice Division for active shooter incident equipment.

An election services contract between the county and Burton ISD was also approved during the meeting. Three seats are up for election on the Burton school board this year, with four people filing: Felton Cox, Misty Lucherk, Jeff Harmel, and Linda Majek Hasten.

The election will take place on May 6th.
