LADIES LIONS CLUB HOSTS DISTRICT GOVERNOR, VICE GOVERNOR

  

The Washington County Ladies Lions Club had two special guests during their meeting on Monday.

Michael Smalley, Governor of District 2-S5 Lions Club International, and Vice Governor Joanna Elliott attended the regular on Monday.   Elliott will be serving as District Governor when the Lions Club International celebrates their 100th anniversary this year.

Governor Smalley recognized the WCLLC for meeting all four service level designations for a second year in a row: Vision, Hunger, Youth and Environment. The organization was also recognized as a 4 Diamond level club for 2015-2016, as well as 2016-2017.

Accepting the award are President Shirley Moehlmann and Public Relations officer Linda Oberhoff

 

Members of the club also had the opportunity to sign the district flag, which was presented to Governor Smalley while attending the Lions Club International Conference in Japan. The flag will be carried by the District Governor in the 100th Anniversary parade in Dallas this year.
