BRAZOS CO. SHERIFF’S OFFICE LAUNCHES SEX OFFENDER WEBSITE

  

The Brazos County Sheriff’s Office has launched a new sex offender registration and public notification website.

OffenderWatch is part of a nationwide network of over 5,000 law enforcement agencies.

The new service in Brazos County is an easy to use website that enables citizens to search for potentially dangerous sex offenders in close proximity to their homes, schools, churches and other locations.

Citizens can enter any address and see a map which lists all offenders within a defined radius. The information is updated in real time by the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office as information changes and is reported.

The site also has web based resources designed to educate and inform members of the public on ways to keep their families safe.
